It was a narrowly focused amendment to prohibit the military from contracting with companies that forced these arbitration clauses on employees in these sorts of cases.

And yes, the GOP voted against the amendment, because they wanted to protect their criminal cronies at Haliburton from facing heat over gang rape charges and other terrible misconduct, like imprisoning the victim.

Before you decide to bash a story at least get the basic facts.

There is absolutely nothing to be said in defense of the GOP senators actions - NOTHING.

I may have missed it somewhere earlier, but is there text of the amendment available?
