If I lived in that neighborhood I would be so livid that the law doesn’t protect my neighborhood from having God damn racist cop wanne-be morons with guns “patrolling” and harassing people and occassionally killing them.

I feel the same way about the God damn militias that the constitution supposedly allows. What a horrible idea, letting any idiot march around with a gun thinking he’s an authority. As if that isn’t a recipe for grass roots oppression.

What the late 18th century meant by “a well-regulated militia” — seems to me to be what the early 21st century might call the Highway Patrol. Or the County Sheriff’s. Or [city]PD.
