See where I’m going here? It’s not the pilot’s job to be Marshal Dillon of the air; it’s to try to stay awake while the computer flies the airplane, just in case.

If we need armed guards on planes, there’s a service that provides that. The problem is nobody wants to pay for it, so hey, let’s just have the pilots take on one more task because it won’t cost us anything.
