One hopes that if Hamas actually starts being honest with themselves, they will admit that there is no possible way that they can ever rid the Mideast of Israel… and that the best they can hope for is to hang on to their little patch of Hamastan.

It wouldn’t be so hard, ideologically: they’d just have to redefine Israel as the sole ghetto for the Mideast’s Jews and themselves as the frontline enforcers of the ghetto walls. If they can wangle financial aid from Israel for humanitarian purposes, they can tell themselves it’s a jizya tax, and the fiction will be complete.
