I agree, I think Obama’s team bit too hard here. That said Romney is a scum bag and I think this is going to come back to haunt him. Obviously Romney is attempting to look presidential by taking on Obama rather than the rest of the Republican field. But conservatives who dislike him to begin with are likely going to resent him looking past the rest of the GOP field. Once a couple of these guys are out of the race, conservatives are going to line up against him.

They didn’t bite hard. They called it deceitful and moved on. Your buying into Romney spin.
