Hitler was elected in 1932. By this point in his reign, he’d already taken over Austria and Czechoslovakia, invaded Poland, and stripped the Jews of all rights and begun the Holocaust.

A minor quibble. Hitler was never elected to anything. He was appointed as Reichskanzler through a shabby political deal and got the job because two previous Reichskanzlers (von Papen and von Schleicher) essentially bamboozled the already-senile President Hindenburg.
