GOP obstructing for the sake of obstructing. Completely figures. They don’t realize that if they lose in November, it’s going to be a sea change, and they can’t block all the seats and all the positions.

But they’ll try - and in the meantime, every single Democrat running has to make that the entire ballgame for November. It’s going to be about Court nominations. And the GOP obstructionism blocking the confirmation only highlights that the GOP is the Party of No.

And the party leaders have to know that this is not a good place to be (or they should know this). They could attempt to delay, but if Obama picks someone Jacqueline Nguyen out of the 9th Circuit or Sri Srinivasan out of the DC Court or even former/current Senator or Governor, you’ve got an interesting battle.

Say Obama nominates Elizabeth Warren. It would put the Senate GOP in bad position denying a fair hearing to one of their own. Cruz wouldn’t care - he’d vote against whoever Obama nominates. He doesn’t care. His mind is already made up. But the rest might give her a fair hearing.
