I’ve always made it a point to upding the original comment, and others only if they add value to the discussion.

Sometimes I upding people simply for being courteous in disagreement. This place can get a little rough sometimes, and I find myself appreciating those who can debate their viewpoint, popular as it may be, without puncuating their post with “[Deleted] you, you [deleted]ing [delete]!”
