Actually- a lot of the younger muslimas I see have adapted their dress to conform more to western standards, like full length denim skirts, and many of them wear hijab instead of chadors like many of the other muslim women do.

Also- ALL the young muslimas I see have cell phones and some have iPods.

If it wasn’t for hijab, they’d look like American girls.

My daughter had a friend in middle school who pretty much dressed that way. She always wore ordinary, American-style long sleeves and long skirts or pants with hijab. How she could stand it in the Georgia heat, I don’t know, but that’s another issue.
