That looks to be the Big Boy at the Pomona Fairgrounds. I consider myself blessed in that I saw and heard an actual Big Boy in Freedom Train livery in 1975. Just by chance we were less than twenty yards from the track with a clear view for miles. I heard that steam train sound and I couldn’t believe my ears so we waited and there she was, coming ‘round the bend. Damn, what a sight.
