What are we going to learn from the caucus in a state that has a vanishingly small population that is 90% white?

Not a whole lot. It might force a reckoning of a few lesser candidates, but it wont shake up the top 3 or 4.

Super Tuesday is what matters. That is where this race really takes shape. Same as always. Just because someone wins Iowa doesn’t mean that they’ll win the nomination, or even that they are electable. Caucus sucks. It’s an awful way of choosing a candidate, because it attracts people who have lots of time to play politics, and isn’t representative of the state or electorate as a whole.

I think Democrats should switch to ranked choice voting, but that’s just me.

However lots of Ia winners have been nominees, and the February caucuses and primaries will decide who is viable in super tuesday other than bloomberg.
