No one is going to drag him from a spider hole. Obama is clear that he will not, the French are all bluster under the American umbrella. No chance for mission accomplished here sad to say. This is really dumb stuff we are now up to our ears in.

My thought has been the French taking the lead isn’t so much bravado as Obama and Sarkozy showing how France is once again playing nice with NATO. One integrated military force and all that.
