that’s true, as evidenced by our legacy of trying to make it illegal to be anything other than being pigmentally challenged to be considered as a legal resident….. We keep trying though. It’s a battleground state to be sure and there are some efforts here to do a better job at registering hispanics and native americans to get them better represented and the voters in the state has passed an independent redistricting commission to draw up fair congressional districts, taking it out of the hands of our loony lege (who would have gerrymandered the living crap out of it).

Frankly, I wouldn’t trust any redistricting commission that wasn’t under oversight by international observers any more.
