Tsar Bomba was air dropped (highly modified Bear IIRC) whereas Castle Bravo was detonated on the ground. Lots of coral turned into radioactive ash to fall on the (Un) Lucky Dragon.

The weird thing about the Lucky Dragon 5 incident is that at least one of the crewmembers of the fishing boat was still alive in 2013 (and may be still alive today, I don’t know — they were in their 80s according to the press report I saw a little while back). The fallout affected all of the crewmembers who suffered extreme radiation sickness but only one of them died promptly, a few weeks after the test. Radiation sickness is surprisingly survivable although the long-term chances of getting cancer are much higher of course.
