If you’re raised by a Strict Father (as George Lakoff describes it), after the first time Dad whoops your ass, you will do ANYTHING to not have it happen to you.

You’ll hide, you’ll lie, you’ll implicate anyone in your family, you’ll find and scapegoat ANYONE outside of them. Anything but to have that whoop-ass uncanned on you!
