Not all that you assert is readily apparent in that video. Police may not have had a line of sight to her actions, which would seem to be the case as the guys were yelling “get the cops” or whatever.

Also, there is nothing wrong with citizens trying to restrain a potential assualter (is too a word :P), which is why we have things like “Citizen’s Arrest”.

Restrain fine. Stomp, not so good.
