Newt’s only problems with the GOP to date (aside from his infidelities, for which God has forgiven him) are his past slips-ups in supporting cap and trade or individual mandate.

if he can manage to distance himself from these statements then he will win the hearts and minds of the entire GOP and not just the base.

What they want to hear is the core message of lower taxes, less regulation and more jobs for everyone (even if it means multiple jobs for everyone).
