I disagree. There was a lot of real and substantive criticism of Bush- and after the 2000 debacle, the UN dog and pony show, Iraq screw ups, ad nauseum, the election was the Dems to lose.

And they did.

They should have won. The numbers bear Zuckerman out. The Dems lost the middle. They won the major centers.
