Hey! I’m not to blame for the literal - or lettergical, or whatever - poverty of the English language. You should have ‘s, too, sir… or sr.

We have twenty-six letters and no accent marks at all! We force the Latin alphabet to do crap it never thought was possible! We use the same bizarre combinations of letters to spell four or five different sounds!

(English is language of great enthusiasm and little planning.)
