Study after study says that the current “effective” tax rates (as in what actually gets payed after deductions) is the lowest it has ever been since WWII. How did all these businesses manage to survive under the higher earlier tax rates if they are really so burdensome now?

I think it’s bullshit. Canada does not have a reputation as a tax haven.
