re: #149 klys (maker of Silmarils)

The first pair is absolutely exquisite (Curse of Chalion and Paladin of Souls) and then the audiobooks have narrators that fit PERFECTLY for my interpretation of the characters. I’ve enjoyed some of the follow-up short stories and need to reread the third main book (which doesn’t connect as strongly to the first two anyway).

But I relisten to Curse of Chalion at least once a year.

I concur that the first two are the best ones. I acquired “Penric’s Fox” recently, but am trying to find and read the other Penric story first since it precedes this one.

I’m currently rereading Iain Bank’s SF novels. (And three of the Culture novels seem to be misplaced.)
