Why? The energy market has as much to do with the “Free Market” as it is revered as an ideology by the GOP (and Libertarians) as Christianity has to do with Protestant Fundamentalism.

Disagree, unlike the stock market, which can defy economic reality for years on end, commodity markets are largely driven by supply and demand realities. Commodity markets are starting to price in a recession. It isn’t just energy; metals and lumber are getting hammered as well. The market is saying that inflation is a bigger threat to the downside than the Russia mess is to the upside.
