The NY Post this morning was trying to tie Bill de Blasio to ACORN (a group that no longer exists, but which supported candidates who were liberals), while the NYT reported yesterday that he was a leftist who went to Cuba on his honeymoon and supports lifting the embargo on the country (among other things).

None of this is particularly surprising. And it wont matter to voters much either. The Workers Family Party (which was founded by one of the founders of ACORN) support de Blasio now. Again, not surprising. And not against the law either. Candidates try to get the endorsement of the group in NYC.
