The GOP won as soon as they spun the Kavanaugh debate into a matter of he-said-she-said. They framed the question as “Do you believe Ford or BK”, which effectively distracted us from the more important question of “Is Kavanaugh a qualified candidate for a lifetime appointment to a key constitutional body?”

And now that they have prevailed in that debate, they are counter-charging and making men like Kavanaugh out to be the victims of toxic, militant feminism.

They didn’t win the debate. They won because enough Republican senators did not care about Ford’s accusations and decided their golden boy should go on anyhow. That’s what happened here.
