When my stepmother was here, she lamented the lack of chain restaurants.

On the other hand, we have great New Mexican food here, but that’s ALL we have. No Italian, no Thai, no Greek, no Korean, no Japanese, the Chinese options are deadly… There is a place that does German food once a week.

Up through the cold War, living near Army bases always assured great foreign restaurants. Ft. Rucker AL had two very good German places and several Korean and Thai. No one seems to be bringing brides or food home from SWA.
