Pointless trivia moment. In Japanese (and I suppose Chinese from which it derives) the character for “generation” 世　was sometimes used for the number 30 in the old days. 30 years being considered the range of a generation and because it was originally written in oracle bone script (I think) as three tens stacked up (十十十＝三十).
