Most funny thing for me as a Southerner is seeing people like Corey Stewart who are about as Southern as borscht embracing the CSA. I’ve always felt pride that my grandfather’s grandfather fought on the right side. Was he a racial liberal even by that era? Probably not but did he choose his adoptive country over the right to own people, yes. And I’m proud of that. If he was a racial liberal, all the better.
