Really? I don’t get lockups. sometimes it’s slow loading and I can’t always tell when it’s done but (knock on silicon) no lockups. (dell pentium 4, 2gb mem, xp home and 140gb hd)

Mine’s about the same P4, 3.0ghz, hyper threading, XP pro, 1 gig (that the max it takes).

The Hyper-threading uses memory to build a dual virtual core, a virtual processor, that’s was nice oh, 6-8 years ago, stealing some memory for handing off some processing, but with the size of web pages now a days, 1 gig doesn’t spread around to far.

That’s why I like Safari, it has great memory management, and doesn’t collect garbage and leave unaddressed pages hanging in la-la land.
