Of course it doesn’t.
I’ve been registered D, registered R, and am now without party affiliation.
Which is where I’m afraid many will end up, if the whacko fringe of the R party continues to actually be the solid core of influence in the R party. They have a stranglehold in some areas. Seriously.

but it is the fringe. I had this discussion four years ago, that the fringe of the left was going to bring it down, they were nuts, all the same stuff, and I was proven wrong when the Left gained all those seats.

It is the fringe, will always be the fringe, but it is what is getting air-play at the moment. The left fringe is still there too, doing nutty stuff, but their guy is in power, so their nutty stuff isn’t getting play.

Anecdotal? sure, the weekly protests in West Chester have the same people out, in the same numbers. The ‘sheep dogs’ on the right have not been bolstered be tea party people, and those I spoke too wouldn’t have them due to racism. The Chester County Peace movement still has the same communists and soclialists.

Life goes on here in the middle, it always will, it’s just not exciting enough for the news.
