My company is now thinking that our buildings in downtown Manhattan won’t be usable by Monday. They took a few feet of water (they are near the East River) and the water got to the phone switch in the basement.

Since there won’t be much in the way of mass transit anyway, it looks like working from home will be the deal for a while longer.

Call them and tell them you need to at least get the bottle of vodka out of your desk.
