Haven’t done much but hobbyist stuff in a number of years. What typically goes in modern amps? The switcher or the power stage?

I haven’t blown an amp in a long time - most of the guys I’ve worked with use tube amps, and of course, you know what blows first in a tube amp. This was actually our in-ear monitor system, and I’m guessing that a faulty power point cooked the power supply to the central distribution unit.
