Hmmm… Actually, The West Wing was very well written. It was partisan, to a degree, but it covered both sides and called stupid stupid. Fancy that. The show had some guts.

Given its pedigree, I don’t doubt the writing of The West Wing. It’s just that with rare exceptions like The Borgias and Game of Thrones, when I watch TV it’s to unplug my brain for a while. I want to laugh or just lose myself in something cool/ridiculous for a while, you know?
