It should be. I sincerely hope there will be charges filed. This didn’t have to happen and was preventable in so many ways.

I’m talking to a lot of friends about this today, many of whom were involved with raising money for the victims of the Station Nightclub fire in Rhode Island (I did a few benefit concerts for the families and survivors), and they all agree that the owner of that warehouse was every bit as negligent as the Station’s owner, who decided to save a few bucks and install flammable soundproofing in the club instead of the fire retardant stuff. If he had done that, most of the 100 dead would have gotten out alive. And that guy paid the price for his negligence.

The owner of that warehouse, in a fair world, will be held liable.
