Science and the Bible are not necessarily in conflict unless you are a dogmatic Fundamentalist Biblical Literalist.

Reconciling science and religion is a fools errand imo.
Even smart people who have tried I think failed miserably
They are best off staying in their own worlds

- science and its quest is to understand, to believe that; by virtue of independent, repeatable and transparent proof.
- religion and its quest is to believe in; to have faith without proof.
