I’m so confused…

We are our own worst enemy, so how does that fit into this discussion? Doesn’t someone have to rise above it? Doesn’t someone have to make us stop relying or leaning on our own prejudices and the harm we do to each other? If that can’t be done with in the LAW (ie government), how do you propose we do that?
