Welcome to Chicago. And no, it’s not $250K. The point being that if you work hard and make what should be enough money to pay your own bills, educate your own children and give to charity without living extravagantly, a 6 figure income should be enough.

Please get it thru your head that in some parts of the country, it is barely enough. $1K more to give, I don’t have without becoming part of those that need help.

The problem isn’t just taxes, it is lawyers, waste, and corruption. Everytime money changes hand, someone get’s a cut. It adds up. It shouldn’t cost $100 to to see the doctor for 15 mintues either, but it does.

The problem is systemic, IMHO. And those who don’t make the $$ are only getting hit worse and worse. It is a BIG PROBLEM. I agree, but taking from those who are barely making it without help isn’t the answer.
