re: #142 HoosierHoops
Well Gus my buddy..I don’t think so..I don’t consider myself a slave to technology.. It is a tool I use to expand my horizons.
I remember paying over 4,000 dollars for my first 486/25 desktop.
It could do little but man was it cool.. I have a iMac now, A Monster 8 core AMD Win 7 desktop and a HP Laptop running XP. I have about 5Tb’s of Storage and killer sound and HDMI running to my 73” Samsung for movies.
Technology is my slave bitch.. HAHA.
/Hi Gus!
we’re still at a primitive stage of computing
i used to say that when i was first working as a professional pgmr back in the mid 80s, even though we “now had computers small enough to fit on a desk that do more than a computer the size of a refrigerator used to do ten years ago”
i won’t consider the internet mature until i can instantly call up any book in the library of congress and every movie ever made that hasn’t disintegrated
not to mention that today’s matter compilers only make things in plastic…
