They have this idea that government and thus people who work for government are the other. I think it goes back to the revolutionary era where we understandably resented a bunch of British parliamentarians who we had no vote on making policy related decisions. But that’s not the case now. We directly elect anyone who represents us from our state representative to our president. Plus government workers aren’t some foreign entity. And hell as of tomorrow, I will be among them.

They have this notion that “Government is not a producer” and therefore people who work for the government are not contributing members of society. They forget that government workers buy stuff and therefore contribute to the economy just like everyone else.

Oh wait, they don’t believe that the economy is driven by people who buy stuff, it’s only driven by TEH JRRB CREEYATERZ.
