re: #157 Chrysicat

And the exception is that we don’t look totally weird to the English and Welsh (more so to the Scots), because they share most of our obsessions and they cook as much Indo-Brit curry as we do Tex-Mex (with the corresponding issue that anyone who can’t handle the already-dumbed-down spice of that passes on about 10% of the country’s food). I think they also have got back to “American-style” serving sizes since that’s where we learned that from in the first place (and which is the major difference between English/American and French home cookery, since the French are just as obsessed with cheese as both).

Oh trust me, even the Brits think we’ve got problems when it comes to our food. They don’t know how we can eat peanut butter and jelly together, they think twinkies are disgusting, and items like biscuits and gravy sound wrong to their eats and are even more horrifying to eat.
