for the record: I like Brussels sprouts
there are a couple of dimple tricks to cooking Brussels Sprouts to make them tastier. We often recall being forced to eat them boiled whole, which makes them mushy on the outside but still undercooked in the middle.
Either halve them (then they can be roasted) or simply cut an x-shaped incision at the base when boiling them so that the insides get tender before the outside gets mushy.
