I suppose her excuse was wartime education in the UK. This was 20+ years ago. She came over as a war bride. Great person in every other way, just still stuck in colonial mentality, even in the land of the yanks.

I think it’s only gotten worse, though. The shyt these children say would be jawdropping if I didn’t already feel I’ve heard as ignorant as ignorant as can get.
