The issue had more than one facet, and it was not an “attack on women to have a hearing panel devoted to the religious freedom angle”. It’s entirely OK to argue that said angle should not be the most important concern, but it is not nothing and looking at it is not wrong.

If the “religious sensitivities” (i.e. fear of losing patriarchal standing in and out of their church surroundings) of a bunch of men includes denying women health care, perhaps you don’t think it’s wrong to look at but women whose rights are being denied sure have the right to look back and say FU.
