Anyone remember what happened to Daniel Patrick Moynihan when he tried that?

Now there is a blast from the past.

I think time has shown Daniel Patrick Moynihan’s flavor of social policy has been an abysmal failure. I also think he was an intellectually honest man and would be the first to admit he was wrong if he were alive today.

Those who call themselves intellectuals on the left today would not be fit to shine this man’s shoes.
