Not really. Unloading in Haifa would have meant possilbe confiscature of significant amounts of food, fishing gear etc, and since the border with Egypt was closed until last month, the logistics of moving humanitarian aid were formidable to say the least.

These flotillas are publicity stunts and don’t really carry anything of use. The Marvi Marmara cargo hold was mostly empty. Some expired medication and useless broken wheel chairs, some children’s toys. The Palestinians even refused to accept delivery of the junk. The actual cargo was useless.
