That ending was so bad.
I thought they were trying to save something of their civilization, not just their sorry behinds.
Then they decided their civilization wasn’t worth preserving.
Unfortunately, that is symbolic of too many people in the US today.

I was expecting it to be bad… really bad. When I watched it, I was not happy about it but had the “it could have been much worse” sigh of relief. Since then, the more I think about it, the worse I think it was. When did Deus Ex Machina become a valid way to end a story rather than a cheap and easy way out?
