Thats my whole frustration. Blood Libel refers to the old racial prejudices and the accusations that people used to make about Jews (ie that they drank human blood). The term ‘bloodlust’ in modern usage has absolutely nothing to do with drinking any blood, but rather with

That definition of ‘bloodlust’ describes some peoples position on Iran to a T, especially albusteve’s.
