Overlooked the eggs! So my substitutions would work for the vegetarians in the family, not the vegans. There are egg substitutes too. With all these substitutions, the results are likely to be very different.

That recipe is way too heavy on every kind of dairy there is. I think the recipe that I used also required a can of sweetened condensed milk. Anyway I never made it again. There are other pound cake recipes that are much easier and don’t require a bunch of very rich and heavy ingredients. I like this one from Ina Garten, which I make with non-dairy substitutes and it comes out very good.
