Why would they? If the Syrians were arming the Kurds, perhaps…but the Syrians are a bit busy at the moment. In any event, Turkey has a first rate modern NATO military, and Syria would have a bad time of it if they ever crossed swords.

Regional politics going back the the history of the Ottoman Turks, plus not wanting to move without interinational backing for a military response, are keeping the Turkish military on standby for now.
