It’s your freedom as a parent honestly. I don’t really remember the first R movie I watched but I do remember seeing the first Scream at a fairly young age (under 10).

My husband told me that his mother took him to the movie theater to watch The Exorcist when he was 6 years old. That affected him for years. I can’t imagine someone doing that to a little kid.
