Creating a stink: German artist invents toilet paper bearing a picture of Hitler’s face

A provocative German artist has caused a stink by creating toilet paper featuring Adolf Hitler’s face.

The loo roll bears an ink drawing

of the Nazi leader, but without his trademark moustache, so buyers can ‘add a brown one’.

Georg Buchrucker, 32, invented what he calls the ‘Draw Your Own Sh**ler’ as a ‘satirical statement’ about the dictator.

He is selling the paper for $4.70 (3.00) on his website, and says he has had orders from as far afield as Australia and the U.S.

‘My toilet paper is not just practical, it is making a point with humour,’ he told Metro.co.uk. ‘Which moustache-wearing man in history would deserve this treatment more than Hitler?’

He has created a storm of controversy, however.

The artist told AllVoices.com: ‘I’m just really pleased that my idea was so popular but I wish some people who are attacking me would loosen up a bit’.
